TIFT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ACTIVITY NOVEMBER 2017

Sheriff Gene Scarbrough reported the following activity for November 2017. 

He said that deputies conducted 1,865 business and property checks, 574 mobile home park and subdivision checks, done 23 school checks and answered 2,146 calls for service. He said that deputies served 103 warrants, 85 civil papers and 303 subpoenas.

The sheriff said deputies arrested 82 people, some on multiple charges. He said that 38 charges of crimes against persons were filed, 28 parole / probation violations, 10 obstruction charges, 9 for failure to appear, 7 fraud charges, 2 child support violations and 12 other non-traffic charges.

Scarbrough said that deputies completed 497 incident reports, 65 accident reports, issued 25 traffic citations, 7 traffic warnings, and verified the addresses of 61 registered sex offenders living in Tift County and patrolled 56,229 miles.

He said deputies handled 89 transports and totaled 9,719 miles.
