The Tift County Sheriff's Office does not call you by phone for a missed jury duty and does not ask for payment for a missed jury duty.

Tift County residents are receiving phone calls and texts stating that they missed jury duty and that a warrant for their arrest has been issued unless they pay a fine using Bitcoin.  The scammers are using the actual names of Tift County Deputies in order to fool the public.  

These images are the actual ones being texted to area residents with the warrant naming the individual they say missed jury duty.  

The flyers are from the Citizens Advocacy Group and the number they are using shows up on your phone as 229-258-2813 although that number could change.
