Two Arrests Made Involving Thefts from Target Distribution Center and Trafficking of Fentanyl
On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, two individuals were arrested after an investigation was conducted by the Tift County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division and Target Asset Protection Operations into incidents of thefts occurring at the facility in Tifton, Georgia. During the investigation, it was discovered that Miracles Desiree Jenkins, 26, and Arcenio Xavier Lindsey, 34, both of Albany, Ga, had been involved with stealing electronics, video games, and other merchandise from the facility and selling the items on eBay. The total amount of stolen items, so far, have been determined to be in excess of over $200,000.00. With the assistance of the Albany Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations SW Regional Drug Enforcement Office, search warrants were conducted in Albany in relation to this case. Over $27,000.00 in merchandise from Target was recovered, as well as, a total of 5 kg of Fentanyl and 256 grams of Marijuana.

Jenkins has been charged with five counts of Theft by Taking and one count of Trafficking in Fentanyl. Lindsey has been charged with five counts of Theft by Taking and two counts of Trafficking in Fentanyl.
The case is still ongoing and more charges could be pending based on results of testing.
