Tifton, GA (October 7, 2020) - On Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at approximately 7:30 AM, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Tifton Police Department to investigate the death of 9-year-old Alazia Johnson.
At approximately 7:20 AM, Tifton Police Officers responded to the Peterson Apartments where Alazia was found stabbed to death. Agents and investigators are actively investigating this incident as a homicide. Alazia's body was taken to the GBI Medical Examiner's Office in Decatur where autopsy results are pending.
