Tifton Lanes Closing For Utility Pole Replacement

TIFTON - One-day lane closures are planned next week on Carpenter Road and US 82/State Route (SR) 520 West for replacement of a damaged utility pole. Work is scheduled Tuesday, June 16, weather permitting. It will not begin until after morning rush hour traffic has cleared and may take six to eight hours. The pole at the corner of the intersection was damaged in a crash. The electric company will have to install another pole and several other utility companies will have to move their individual service lines.
