Suspect Arrested

On Friday, October 4 the Tift County Sheriff's Office received a call in reference to suspicious activity. Monday, October 7, a second report of suspicious activity and one report of Criminal Trespass were also filed with the agency.  Due to these reports being similar in nature, an investigation was conducted. As a result, 48 year old Christopher Edward Baker of 46 Old Brookfield Road Lot 3 was identified as a person of interest.   

Subsequently, Baker was arrested late Tuesday afternoon and was charged with 1 count of criminal trespass and 2 counts of criminal attempt with the intent to commit the offense of kidnapping. Baker is currently being housed in the Tift County Jail.
