The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has stated that the Tiftarea is under no threat of severe weather or flooding as of Tuesday, September 3rd.  We can expect an increase in traffic around the community due to the coastal counties evacuating.  Virtually all of the 1,174 motel/hotel rooms in our community are filled to capacity.  If you have to travel along Highway 82 and Interstate 75 or any other streets around town, expect delays. Please be patient, as the evacuees are not familiar with our community. Help us uphold our reputation as the “Friendly City” by assisting in any way that we can.
