Sheriff Gene Scarbrough Reports Activity For June 2019

Deputies responded to 3,727 calls for service, conducted 1,174 business and property checks along with 552 mobile home park and subdivision checks.

Sheriff Scarbrough said deputies served 112 warrants, 79 civil papers and 225 subpoenas.

The sheriff reported that deputies arrested 119 people, some on multiple charges. He said that 30 charges of parole/probation violation were filed, 29 drug charges, 3 weapons violations, 5 obstruction cases, 3 fraud charges, 13 crimes against a person charges, 10 property crimes charges, 3 fraud charges with 78 cases being assigned to the Criminal Investigative Division.

Traffic stops conducted by deputies led to 2 charges of driving under the influence, 18 drug charges, 17 individuals having a suspended or revoked driver’s license, 13 other non-traffic charges as well as the arrest of 4 wanted persons, 2 weapons charges and the recovery of a stolen firearm.

He added that deputies completed 626 reports, worked 37 accidents, patrolled 62,970 miles, verified the home addresses of 68 registered sex offenders and issued 1,368 citations with 184 warnings.

The sheriff also reported that deputies provided 67 transports, totaling 178 hours and 7,433 miles.
