Arrest Made Of Barricaded Suspect

Deputies executing a felony warrant service on a suspect, 49 year old Stacy Lamar Rutland of Tifton, on 6 1/2 street yesterday located a stolen vehicle upon their arrival, allegedly stolen by Rutland.  As Deputies approached the home they observed Rutland inside of the home alone.  Rutland refused to come out and barricaded himself inside.

At this point the Tri-County Special Response Team, SRT, responded and the situation was turned over to them.  After a short period of time, Rutland was apprehended and taken into custody with no injuries. 

Rutland was first taken to the Tift Regional Medical Center to be medically cleared and was then transported and booked into the Tift County Jail.  Rutland is being charged with a felony count of aggravated assault/family violence, a felony count of robbery by intimidation, a felony count of false imprisonment and a misdemeanor count of battery/family violence (1st offense).
