Meth Bust Made - More Than Two Pounds Seized

Tift County Sheriff Gene Scarbrough reported that on March 15, 2019, deputies with the Tift County Sheriff’s Office along with agents of the Mid-South Narcotics Task Force and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested 40-year-old Willie Ashley of Riverdale, Georgia. The arrest is a result of an investigation of Ashley where law enforcement was able to determine that he was distributing large amounts of methamphetamine in South Georgia.

When Ashley was arrested, he was found to be in possession of more than two pounds of methamphetamine that would have been distributed in Tift county and surrounding areas.

Ashley is currently being held in the Tift county jail and is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.
