
Sheriff Gene Scarbrough Reports The Activity For December 2018
Deputies responded to 2,785 calls for service, conducted 553 business and property checks, 239 mobile home park and subdivision checks with 6 school checks in an eleven day period as the numbers for the complete month are not available due to E-911’s conversion to a new computer aided dispatch system.
Sheriff Scarbrough said deputies served 159 warrants, 84 civil papers and 104 subpoenas.
The sheriff reported that deputies arrested 96 people, some on multiple charges. He said that 39 charges of parole/probation violation were filed, 11 crimes against persons charges, 6 property crimes charges, 9 weapons charges, 3 child support cases, 11 obstruction cases and 29 non-traffic cases.
Traffic stops conducted by deputies led to 11 charges of driving under the influence, 9 drug charges, 18 individuals having a suspended or revoked driver’s license as well as 2 weapons charges and the arrest of 1 wanted person.
He added that deputies completed 461 reports, worked 39 accidents, issued 448 traffic citations, 120 traffic warnings and patrolled 55,374 miles.
The sheriff also reported that deputies provided 52 transports, totaling 140 hours and 5,282 miles.
