TIFT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ACTIVITY REPORT

 Sheriff Gene Scarbrough reports the activity for August 2018.

Deputies conducted 2,666 business and property checks, 722 Mobile Home Park and subdivision checks with 71 school checks and answered 2,890 calls for service.

He said deputies served 180 warrants, 108 civil papers and 171 subpoenas.

The sheriff said that deputies arrested 90 people, some on multiple charges. He said that 57 charges of parole / probation violation were filed, 30 drug violations, 25 domestic reports, 21 crimes against persons charges, 15 suspended or revoked driver’s license, 14 obstruction charges, 11 property crimes charges, 6 charges of driving under the influence, 3 fraud charges and 10 other non-traffic charges.

He said that deputies completed 519 reports, 35 accident reports, issued 882 traffic citations, 149 traffic warnings and patrolled 73,715 mile and verified the home addresses of 63 registered sex offenders living in Tift County.

The sheriff said deputies provided 76 transports, totaling 221 hours and 7,985 miles.
