Sgt. Chris Spires Exchange Club Officer Of The Year
On Monday, June 4 Sgt. Chris Spires was chosen as the Exchange Club's Officer Of The Year during their weekly meeting. Sgt. Spires joined the Tift County Sheriff's Office in 2009 and currently serves as the Shift Supervisor of A-Squad.
Deputy Spires comes from a law enforcement family. His father, David, retired as Assistant Chief of Police from the Tifton Police Department and later served as the Chief of Police of the Lenox Police Department.
"Sgt. Spires is a valued member of the Tift County Sheriff’s Office. He is held in high regard by the administration, his supervisors and his peers alike. In short, I can think of no one more deserving of this award than Sergeant Christopher David Spires", that according to Sheriff Gene Scarbrough.
